Finished Embroidery Hoop

I forgot to post my finished embroidery hoop that I said I was going to post! Here it is:

close up.

As you can see, I was getting tired and lazy towards the end. (the hanging flags)  It was probably about 3am...I couldn't sleep at first and then I just wanted to get it finished.  I will probably go back and try and fix it but until then, here it is!  I have requests from a few people who would like one so if you want one, just shoot me a message either on here, FB, or email.

This weekend, the hubby and I are finally putting together our headboard that we have been wanting to make! Rain is expected this weekend so we are going to work on some DIY home projects.  Can't wait!

Our Day Trip

I was planning to post yesterday but my sister and I decided to have a movie night sleepover! So fun!  She's still sleeping which I can't say I can blame her because she rarely gets sleep these days with her schedule.  Any who... Day 3 of our 3day weekend had to be my favorite!  We went to Morro Bay and Aaron showed us where his grandpa used to live and the street his mom grew up on which I thought was super sweet.  I took a photo of Aaron and Eisley standing in front of the house but I don't think I will post it because, well, I think if I saw my house on some stranger's blog, I'd be kinda creeped out.
haha I will however, show you our photos as we left for our road trip and and got to our destination.

Eisley and daddy getting ready to leave.
She's got her shades on so you know she's ready!

C'mon guys lets hit the road!

Are we there yet?!?!

We made it!  Eisley couldn't be more curious
about everything new around her.

First thing was first though.  We had to eat! haha We had lunch at this cute little place called, Rocca's Surf Shack.  It was really cute in there and the food was great!

Not sure if you can really see, but the chairs were
covered with beach towels! Too cute.

They were playing Michael Jackson in
there during this time and just play Eisley
the right kind of music and she's dancin!

After all of our in town adventures we went to the beach and showed Eisley the ocean for the first time.  Eisley has always loved water and taking baths so to see a big body of water...we just had no clue how she would react.
This is the reaction we got!  She LOVED it!

I love how tiny Eisley looks!

Our little beach bum fell asleep on the beach. <3

The weekend as a whole was great but this was by far my favorite day! Aaron and I had not been to Morro Bay in such a long time!  Aaron hadn't been there for about 13 years or so and I hadn't been there for maybe about 8 years or so. We usually go to Ventura so this was a nice change though we love anywhere there is water!

Ta-ta for now! (oh man, too much Winnie the Pooh with Peanut.)

2 days of our 3 day weekend adventure

I haven't been able to get on here as much as I have been wanting to.  Life has been busier than ever but all grand!  Aaron is no longer sick and we have had the best 3 day weekend!  After Aaron got off of work, I finally went to the office I work for and turned in my resignation letter.  I am officially a stay at home mom!  It's all such a blessing!  Bittersweet but so exciting!  We picked up my sister from work, took her home, and took Eisley to the park.  She didn't really seem to know what to do or think of it.

See what I mean? hahaha

We went to the park again the following day but a different one. We had a picnic with Eisley and took her to feed ducks.  It was such a beautiful day!

 Kisses from daddy!

Hungry me.

Hungry ducks and geese.

Daddy and Eisley feeding the ducks. <3

Me and Peanut feeding the ducks.  It was
her first time ever seeing real ones.  She really
loved it!

That night, Aaron and I had a date night!!! It was really awesome and just what we needed.  He had been so sick and I hadn't even hugged him since the Saturday before!  I was finally able to snag some smooches. Haha We went to dinner and a movie.  We really wanted to see This is 40 but for whatever reason the showing we were going to see got cancelled due to technical errors.  I was kinda bummed about that but happy with what we ended up seeing!  We went to the other side of town (which is always and adventure) to the dollar theater and saw Wreck it Ralph!! Oh my goodness, such a cute movie! haha no baby and we still ended up seeing a kid movie. That's us alright!  We had a day of just hanging out at home which was nice because we got a lot done...or should I say my husband did.  He took our Christmas tree down (finally heh), he also cleaned the back yard which was awesome!

This is what I did...

I crocheted a crown for Peanut but it was too big for her and obviously too small for me.  I measured her head too but I clearly measured incorrectly.  Oh well, do over!  I will post more tomorrow about our last day of our 3 day weekend.  It deserves a post all on its own because it was so fun! Goodnight y'all! <3

4 months and boring ramblings

Hey there!
I'm a little behind on things right now.  My husband has been sick and  it seems like I can't get the germs out of this house! Hopefully this is the last of the illnesses here.  Taking care of my husband and baby is a lot more work than I ever could have imagined.  It's mostly because I sanitize all things after they are touched and spray cans of lysol behind my husband everywhere he walks. haha Not really, but it's pretty extreme.  I wouldn't trade it for anything though! Being a wife and mom is the best!
Eisley went to the doctor today for her 4 month wellness exam.  She is 13.4 lbs and 25 inches long!  She was so brave for her shots today!  She cried for a few seconds and went on smiling as if nothing happened.  She's a trooper.  I always get nervous after her shots because of how she may react to them.  She has been great!  A little more sleepy than normal and in need of lots and lots of cuddles.  Thats not a bad thing though! ;) The doctor said she can start on solids any time now.  That kind of made me feel a little sad.  The thought of my baby having solids makes me feel like she's not so much a "baby" baby anymore.  Like when did this all happen?  I feel like she had her biggest growth spurt in her third month.  Everything about her changed but in a good way.  She just seems so much bigger and aware of every little thing around her.  She is getting more and more curious about things and its so amazing to watch!  Here is a look at her 4 month photos:

This outfit is up in the shop now as well!

I have so much fun planning out her seasonal monthly outfits! They are fun to make as well!
Speaking of fun to make!  I am doing some embroidery hoop art for baby E's room!!  I can't wait to post them up on the blog soon!  I may or may not be selling them in my Etsy shop, I haven't decided.  I have so many projects going right now.  It's actually quite dumb because I get all excited for the next project that I start it and go back and forth between them all!  I NEED to ship out Etsy orders first so that is number one on my project to do list this week.  Speaking of, I better get off of this thing and get to work.  Night time is craft time because baby is sleeping! Goodnight y'all!

Catching Up

I feel like I went back to work this week along with my husband! During the two weeks he was off, I kinda took a vacation along with him and admittedly didn't do much!  It was just so great having him home with us so I kinda just let the house go.  Not too crazy but I didn't do near as much as normal.  I'm playing catch up now! Yesterday's big project was our office/craft/sewing/music room.  It was a mess! Don't believe me?

Yeah, it was a down right wreck.  I dove in head first and started to try and organize my fabrics and my station of the room that drives Aaron nuts!  I took off the sides of a cardboard box, covered it with wrapping paper and BAM! My fabric compartment. Its really nifty because I can see everything I have now.  Aaron came home during this and I wanted to make this a surprise for him because he's been complaining about this office for months!  I had the door closed when he came home and I told him not to go in there because I destroyed the place and that a bookshelf fell over and broke and it just looks terrible!  These were all lies, I was actually working on a project to make the room look even sweeter, otherwise I would have shown him my progress.  It was all laid out on the floor unfinished.  He was freaked out about the bookshelf falling, not because it fell over but because he didn't want me to get hurt cleaning it up or putting it back together! Sweetheart huh?  Then the questions started to come about how it all happened...trust me, I wanted to know too!  I had no words, all I could say was, "I dont know! It all happened so fast!" hahahaha He was satisfied with that answer and didn't push anymore but kept insisting I waited for him to come home to fix it and clean it up.  (I'm telling you, sweetest guy ever!) I couldn't help but chuckle inside but I was pretty excited for him to leave and come back to a clean workspace!  This is how it turned out.

I don't know if you can see my little fabric
compartment behind the sewing machine but
that's it. :)

This is the project that I was working on before he
came home that I didn't want him to see!
Poster sized Instaphoto frame!

Here is how you create one:
Download an app on your iPhone called, Postal Pix
I ordered my prints in the size 4x4 and I believe
they only allow you to order up to 60 at a time, I could be wrong.
I ordered all 60 but was only able to use 40 on my board.
I don't have any poster sized paper laying around so I flipped over the paper
that comes in the frame and used that as my backing.
Simply tape your photos in any arrangement you'd like and there you have it!

There is so much you can do with these little printed beauties!  It turned out great and my husband was so happy to come home to a clean and organized office!  He was very happy that the bookshelf was still intact as well. heehee  He loved the instaproject on the wall as well! :)
Since we had a nice clean space to work in, he did his homework in there and I worked on Eisley's 4 month outfit!  Its pretty much done now.  Here is a sneak peek!

It will be available in the shop this weekend as well!

Mind you, most things you find in the shop are seasonal but always available! :)
